About the role

Ready to design the future of privacy-first AdTech? We're seeking a Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for our new Programmatic Ad Exchange, CMT—a cutting-edge, real-time intent monetisation platform tailored for small and medium publishers. As the sole designer in a dynamic product trio (2 PMs, 3 EMs & you), you'll drive user research, validate desirability and usability, and deliver elegant, data-informed UX that simplifies complex workflows. Operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, you'll frame problems, run research, and translate insights into production-ready designs and experiments that make a real impact.

Impact
  • Reimagine core user workflows with a fresh eyes perspective for the new platform (campaign creation, targeting, pacing, reporting, supply diagnostics...).
  • Reduce cognitive load on primary tasks (create, launch, monitor, optimise) through progressive disclosure, sensible defaults, and clear, de‑jargonised language.
  • Simplify workflows end-to-end: fewer steps, fewer fields, fewer decisions; eliminate dead ends and edge-case friction.
  • Seamlessly integrate AI in the UX (recommendations, predictions, explanations) with transparency and user control; measure uplift against baselines.
  • Establish UX success metrics tied to complexity reduction: task time, error rate, step drop-off, and perceived effort (e.g., SUS).

Key Responsibilities

Product discovery & research
  • Run continuous discovery with publishers, advertisers, and ops; maintain a structured research repository and insight library.
  • Map jobs-to-be-done across supply and demand; analyse funnels, logs, and tickets to clarify the highest ROI UX improvements.
Facilitation & alignment
  • Lead workshops (story mapping, design sprints, opportunity solution trees) to align stakeholders on problem framing, bets, and success criteria.
  • Turn ambiguity into decision-ready artefacts: hypotheses, experiment plans, user flows, service blueprints, and crisp design briefs.
Product design (strategy → shipped UI)
  • Design information architecture and flows for campaign creation & optimisation, targeting, pacing, creative & policy, transparency, reporting, and supply diagnostics.
  • Prototype at multiple fidelities in Figma; craft clear UX copy, empty states, and in product guidance that de-jargonises AdTech.
  • Partner with engineering through delivery: specifications, edge cases, acceptance criteria; support QA and measure outcomes post‑launch.
AI in the UX
  • Design AI assisted flows (e.g., campaign setup copilot, bid guidance, anomaly explanations, natural language reporting) with transparency, and user control.
  • Define baselines, measure uplift, and close the loop with feedback mechanisms to improve AI driven experiences over time.
Experimentation & measurement
  • Code fine success metrics per bet with PM; partner with Data/Engineering on instrumentation.
  • Participate in the conceptualization of A/B tests; iterate quickly based on qualitative and quantitative signals; document learnings and decisions.
Design system & accessibility
  • Evolve a scalable design system suitable for high density, professional UIs; ensure WCAG compliant, keyboard friendly interactions.
  • Promote consistency across surfaces (console, docs, comms) and readiness for localisation.

Requirements

  • Have a passion for designing complex B2B workflows (SaaS, marketplaces, platforms) with measurable impact, strong portfolio of shipped work
  • Bring demonstrable experience in research: hands-on with interviews, usability tests, surveys, and qual/quant analysis, turns insight into product decisions
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Bring the experience of being able to run alignment workshops and drive crisp decisions
  • Systems thinker and maker: from IA and state management to micro-copy and component detail
  • Experimentation: design testable changes, comfortable reading experiment dashboards and deciding with imperfect data
  • Tooling: Figma/FigJam, analytics: Mixpanel/GA4, and session tools: Hotjar or similar
  • Be curious, research, and ask questions
  • Be result and target driven
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • Have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be a creative thinker, always thinking “how can we”
  • Show a strong desire to succeed and make a difference
Experience and skills that will help you succeed
  • AdTech/MarTech exposure: auctions/OpenRTB, pacing & budget control, targeting, supply quality, header bidding/Prebid basics.
  • AI-in-product: designed copilots, recommender UX, prompt/response patterns, and clarity/safety mechanisms.
